  8.        Jim Hood, who is a commercial photographer by training and a 
  9.        computer hobbyist by preference, resides about 3 miles from 
  10.        Seattle, Washington on Mercer Island, a city of about 22,000 
  11.        people in the middle of scenic Lake Washington. A former 
  12.        coordinator for the Mercer Island Computer Club, Jim divides his 
  13.        time between computer related hobby activities and the operation 
  14.        of Seattle Scientific Photography which produces 35mm 
  15.        lecture/presentation slides for medical and corporate training.

  17.        Jim also wrote the software program the $hareware Marketing 
  18.        $ystem which provides a software marketing tutorial and 
  19.        extensive mailing list of over 3,000 national computer clubs, 
  20.        shareware distributors and magazine editors which shareware 
  21.        programmers and small home-based businesses use as a mailing 
  22.        list and marketing tutorial to distribute software products.

  24.        Jim attended the University of Sophia in Tokyo, Japan and 
  25.        Seattle University in Seattle. The introductory screen and menu 
  26.        displays of PC-LEARN are machine code driven. If you or your 
  27.        business would like to add menus and color display systems to 
  28.        your programs which are similar to those used in PC-LEARN, 
  29.        contact Jim. Your company could design a special internal 
  30.        training or production software program which looks and works 
  31.        like PC-LEARN but contains special information, tutorials or 
  32.        data just about any topic.

  34.        This software has absorbed approximately 1,400 hours of 
  35.        programming, editing and research time. PC-LEARN was written for 
  36.        and is dedicated to the members of the Mercer Island Computer
